Destination Canada British Columbia Province Shaped Cutting & Serving Board

British Columbia, coast to Rockies

Cut to the outline of British Columbia and laser-engraved with a detailed provincial map, this bamboo board works as a cutting surface, a serving platter and a piece of wall decor. It is the kind of gift that says I know exactly where you are from.

What you get

• One British Columbia-shaped board in natural bamboo
• Laser-engraved map with provincial landmarks, highways and place names
• A pre-drilled hole for hanging, so it can live on the wall between uses
• Ships ready to give — no assembly, no extra packaging to buy

Specifications

Engraved across British Columbia

The map is etched into the bamboo in fine detail: Vancouver and Victoria, Whistler, Prince George, Kelowna and the Okanagan, Kamloops, Nelson, Prince Rupert, Haida Gwaii, the Great Bear Rainforest and Glacier National Park. The notched coastline along the west edge is the Pacific — the shape of the province is unmistakable on a wall.

Three ways to use it

• Cutting board — bamboo is dense and gentle on knife edges.
• Serving board — the shape frames cheese, charcuterie and fruit beautifully on a table.
• Wall decor — the hanging hole lets it double as kitchen art.

The gift that says "I know where you're from"

It suits Thanksgiving and Christmas, housewarmings, retirements, and anyone from British Columbia now living elsewhere in Canada or the United States. Vancouver to Seattle, Victoria to Los Angeles — it is a small, useful thing to hang in a kitchen that is far from home.

Care

• Hand wash in warm water with mild soap. Do not soak and do not put it in a dishwasher.
• Dry standing upright so air reaches both faces.
• Oil monthly with food-grade mineral oil to keep the grain sealed and the engraving sharp.
• Keep it away from prolonged direct heat and sunlight.
