Destination Canada Ontario Province Shaped Cutting & Serving Board

A piece of Ontario — for the kitchen, or the wall

Cut to the outline of Ontario and laser-engraved with a hand-drawn provincial map, this bamboo board works as a cutting surface, a serving platter and a piece of wall decor. It is the kind of gift that says I know exactly where you are from.

What you get

• One Ontario-shaped board in natural bamboo
• Laser-engraved map with provincial landmarks, highways and place names
• A pre-drilled hole for hanging, so it can live on the wall between uses
• Ships ready to give — no assembly, no extra packaging to buy

Specifications

Engraved across Ontario

The map is etched into the bamboo in fine detail. You will find Toronto and Ottawa, the shorelines of Lake Superior and Georgian Bay, Algonquin Park, and dozens of smaller towns and highways that only someone from the province will recognise. Those fine lines are what make it a keepsake rather than a plain board.

Three ways to use it

• Cutting board — bamboo is dense and gentle on knife edges.
• Serving board — the shape frames cheese, charcuterie and fruit beautifully on a table.
• Wall decor — the hanging hole lets it double as kitchen art.

The gift that says "I know where you're from"

It suits Thanksgiving and Christmas, housewarmings, retirements, Canada Day, and — most of all — anyone from Ontario now living somewhere else in Canada or the United States. It is a small, useful thing to hang in a kitchen that is far from home.

Care

• Hand wash in warm water with mild soap. Do not soak and do not put it in a dishwasher.
• Dry standing upright so air reaches both faces.
• Oil monthly with food-grade mineral oil to keep the grain sealed and the engraving sharp.
• Keep it away from prolonged direct heat and sunlight.

Questions

How big is it?
13 by 13 inches, and 5/8 of an inch thick — large enough to serve on, compact enough to hang.

Can I hang it on the wall?

Does it come in other provinces?
